Aurora, MO has two cemeteries, one is the old city cemetery with few records of any kind as to who was buried there and is the first cemetery. If Samuel Meek was buried in Aurora in the past 20 years he would be buried in Maple Park Cemetery located in the south part of Aurora. Aurora has a sexton Mr. Ash to oversee both cemeteries. The sexton has an office near the north entrance and has records on his computer regarding Maple Park Cemetery which is a very large cemetery as to where each person is buried, what they died of and when, funeral home and person ordering interment. Copies were a dime. The local newspaper is the Aurora Advertiser.
