Anna Jackson and Manerva Hubbard were daughters of Matthew Nail. Matthew had two wives, both named Nancy, so am not sure which one was their mother or if they had the same mother. Matthew died in 1847 in Benton County, Ark. His second wife, Nancy, died in 1848. They are buried at Allen Cemetery in Benton Co.
Anna and Manerva were both in Benton Co Ark in 1850:
M.H. Jackson 27 Tn
Anna 21 Ky
Nancy E. 1 Ark
(in a separate household)
Fox Nail 19 Ky
Manerva 14 Ark.
Anna and Manerva had brothers: Fox Taylor Nail, Thomas B. Nail and Matthew Nail
Anna/Annie was born Oct 23, 1828. Manerva was born March 18, 1836. Manerva married James Hubbard. He died during the Civil War. They are listed in 1860 census Benton Co. Ark: James Hubbard 23 Ark, Manerva 24 Ark, Caldeen 3 Ark, Robert 1 Ark.
I can't find Annie and her family in 1860 or 1870. We think her husband may have died in the Civil War. In the 1880 census of Christian Co, Mo, (page 41A) we find Henderson:
Henderson Jackson 25 Mo (widower), Annie M. 7 Mo, L.V. 2 (f), Annie 49 Ky mother (widow).
Annie later lived in Lawrence County, in Marionville and Manerva Hubbard lived with her.
I also found Henderson Jackson in 1920 census Lawrence Co., Mo. page 6A:
Henderson Jackson 64 Ark, Katherine 62 Ind, Rose 27 Mo, (dau), Orvil 20 Mo. (son). I think Henderson must have had several wives.
We think Henderson Jackson's sister Mary b about 1849 is the one who married Green Wilson.
Does this sound familiar? Have you heard some of these people mentioned before? Would love to hear from you again and I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my query.
