Hi and Thank You;
I don't know if he is the brother of my dad. I have been to Monett Mo as well as I have chased ever lead I could think of( Census, Court Houses, Etc)and have found nothing.
I was to young when he was killed and therefore never had a chance to ask anything.
My mother never knew any thing of his family untell 1937 when he filed his Railroad Soc Sec form.In the birth of each of us children she said on our records that he was born in Texas and in 1930 census she said he was born in Okla.
The RR S/S he said his fathers name was John Davis and that his mothers name was Lizzie Hutszens and that he was born in Monett Mo.
On his death records my mother added that he had a brother Arthur and a sister whos name was unknown.
I feel that his dad worked on or for a railroad perhaps as a track man therefore they would have been on the move.
One thing is for sure he was not one to talk about the good old times, In fact he was not one to blab about anything.
Does the name Earl or Claude show up in your line?
Thanks again
