Seeking ANY information on the following family.
SAMUEL SHAW.(I believe his middle name was Edward)He was
born 1838 -1840, either in Ohio or Virginia(according to 1880 & 1900 Lafayette Co.Mo.Federal census).He probably came from Ohio.
I am pretty sure I have found his wife CYNTHIA ANN PIERCE (born 1833 -42 in Ohio according to census)her father was Richard Pierce and mother was Sabrina Beals.Richard and Sabrina both died in 1837 in Geuaga Co. Ohio , and in 1850 census of Geuaga Co.Ohio,Cynthia was living with her grandfather John Beals.
SAMUEL and CYNTHIA SHAW suddenly appear in the 1880 Lexington Lafayette Co. Mo. census married and with six children. They married ca 1865 ( guessing from birthday of 1st. child). I do not know where they married.
Cynthia's name has been found spelled various ways, Cynthia Ann, Maecynthia, Cintha ect. They remained in Lexington, Lafayette Co. Mo. untill they died. Samuel died 1907 and Cynthia around 1898 after her last child and before 1900.
