Please go to message #17 in this, the Whitsett forum.
Sharon Neill has copied entries from the PHILLIPS & WHITSITT FAMILY BIBLE. It lists the birth and death dates and marriage info of RALPH WHITSITT, son of SAMUEL & MARGARET WHITSITT, and his wife ALLIE PHILLIPS WHITSITT. It also lists WILLIAM WHITSITT'S marriage to ANN and the birth of their son, JOHN. There is also a notation that William and Ralph were the sons of Samuel and Margaret.
Does anyone know who the other people/children listed belong to? Please let me know!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

And last, some questions for you fellow researchers: Can anyone set me straight on the lineage of these two men, JOHN W. WHITSETT & JOHN WHITSETT whose will abstracts are listed above and more importantly, once it's established who THEY are, WHO ARE THEIR CHILDREN??? I have JOHN W. WHITSITT as the son of Joseph Whitsitt /Rebecca Stewart. I can't even begin to place the other JOHN WHITSITT, but have HIS children under JOHN W., and I now know that's wrong because of the 2 will abstracts.

JOHN WHITSETT, will probated 2/11/1845. His heirs were Elizabeth Lillard, (a 2nd wife?), WILLIAM M. WHITSITT, MARGARET [WHITSETT??] RANKIN, SAMUEL T. WHITSETT, ISAAC E, WHITSETT. Who was this John's parents, grandparents, wife, did he have other kids, etc.??

JOHN W. WHITSETT, will probated 1/3/1848. His heirs were JOHN, ELIZABETH, JAMES S., AMERICA ANN, AMOS HORN, MELINDA, JOSEPH, MARY, SHADRACK A. My GGG granddad, James Sterling Whitsitt was given legal custody of John W.'s underage children. I THINK the two were brothers, and John W.'s predeceased wife was UNITY FIELDER.
Anyone know the different families of these two men?

Also, of the men mentioned in the census, does anyone know the relationship/parents of:
WILLIAM WHITSITT, married to Elizabeth
MARCUS WHITSITT, married to Elizabeth
-------------------------------

Hope the info listed helps. And I appreciate any and all answers to the above questions!
