Christine, are you still looking for information regarding the hanging of the man who killed George King in 1879? I ran across the article quite by accident today while I was in Lebanon. I remembered someone on this forum requesting it, so I copied it while.

I have the entire article as it appeared in the March 5, 1880 edition of the Lebanon newspaper. The article is entitled: CORE'S EXECUTION FOR THE MURDER OF GEO. KING
History of the Crime and the Murderer's Confession. Startling Developments.

King was killed January 21, 1879 and Core was hanged on March 5, 1880. The article contains a biographical sketch of the murderer, his confession and how and why he murdered George King. It even describes Core's death on the gallows. Quite lengthy and very, very interesting. Please give me your mailing address and I will be happy to mail the article to you.
