They were living in Howell County at the beginning of the Civil War, possibly in West Plains. The family was from Rutherford County, North Carolina. The mother was Mary Elizabeth, widow of Dr. H.C.L. Krause of Germany. The youngest son, Pinkney, served with the 4th MO. Inf Vol CSA. captured March 13th 1862, died at Rolla. Notify Administrator about this message?
