I am trying to find burial place of my GGG grandmother Lavenia unknown married to Jesse Carter. In 1850 census McMinn Co,TN with son 2 year old Houston Carter. In 1860 I find Jesse Carter with 2nd wife Elizabeth in Gentry Co,MO, Houston is 11 years old,plus other siblings. In Jesse's pension papers it says that his first wife Lavenia died between 1854-56 and is buried in Howell Co,MO. It says that Woodson Easley and Rutheford Easley Moody would know of her death. I don't know if this is her family or not, possibly brother and sister. There is a Woodson Easley in Howell Co,MO in West Plains Journal. It says he was a judge & that he was born in Saline Co,ILL in 1838. After Lavinia died & he married again, Jesse moved to EL Dorado, Saline Co,ILL & joined military. I appreciate any help I can get on this.
