Sarah Dunn is the (assumed) daughter of Lewis Dunn [b: 1778 VA; d:1848 Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY] and Rebecca Elam [b: Dec 19, 1782, Chesterfield Co., VA; d: 1820 Warren Co., KY]. Lewis and Rebecca were married Aug 22, 1797, Charlotte Co (or Charles City,) VA. My husband is a descendant Sarah Dunn who married Federal Walker. Federal and Sarah migrated to Howard Co., Missouri right after their marriage Apr 06, 1823 in Warren Co., KY. Federal received his land there as part of the New Madrid grant as an inheritance from his father. My information says that he was a stock raiser, slave owner and very involved with the political scene in Howard County. His brother was John Hardeman Walker who established the "boot heel" of Missouri. He and Sarah are buried in the Ashland Church Cemetery. Federal died Sep 01, 1878 and Sarah died Aug 05, 1868. I am especially interested in establishing that Sarah is or is not the dauhter of Lewis Dunn of Warren Co., KY. She named a son Lewis. The last I knew they had descendants still living in the original family home. I am seeking any information on this family. Judith Weeks Ancell, 1810 Edgecliff Terrace, Boise, ID 83702-2911
