Hello, I can't help you with your Brownlee question, but I do have a Hickory Co. Brownlee in my family tree. Cornelia Brownlee was born 1851 in Arkansas, died June 4, 1880 in Osceola, St. Clair Co., MO and is buried at Brownlee Cemetery in Hickory Co., MO. Her father was Judge Brownlee of Quincy, Hickory Co., MO. She was married to Leroy Leonidas Davidson (1846-1911). She had 3 children, Alexander B. Davidson (1870-?), Norman L. Davidson (1874-?) and a daughter M.F. Davidson (1880-?). There are two interesting old newspaper articles about her death here:

and here:

I'd be very interested if you know anything about Cornelia Brownlee, and if she has any relations to the Brownlees you are researching. Thanks,

Dave Davidson
