Reavis/Revis family in Hickory Co. More Info

I found another clue linking my family to Hickory county. I found a birth record:
Father: S.V. Revis (Sylvanus "Van" Reavis)
Mother: K.C. Revis (Keziah Catherine Reavis)

Daughter(no name) born in Montgomery twp Hickory County August 9, 1887. Medical Attendant: A.L. Fisher, Wheatland.
(sixth child)

The only census records with the family show them in Saline County and/or Pettis County.

But they were apparently in Hickory county in 1887. I've seen the name spelled as "Revis"(instead of Reavis) more than once. It is a pretty common misspelling.

Does anyone have any records or recollections of this family in Hickory County? S.V. Reavis would be Grandfather of Ray Reavis (1905-1984; Hickory Co ~1929-1984). (Ray Reavis was tax assessor in Hickory Co. 1960s-1970s. Lost one arm at age ~18. Worked at Walker Quarry.)

S.V. is mostly around Saline/Pettis county. But seems to show up in Hickory county some. His son Wm. E. Reavis moved to Colorado around 1900, but shows up with his family in Wheatland twnshp 1930 censu, but returns to Colorado leaving Ray and sister Catherine. (S.V. died 1924, so I am wondering if he inherited property.)

Any help greatly appreciated.
