The only info I have on Fred Stair is from the census forms. He appeared as a young boy with his parents in the 1870 census (Seneca Twp., Lenawee Co., MI), then in Calhoun, Henry Co., MO in the 1880 census, then in Detroit, Wayne Co., MI for the 1900 census. It is here that I find he has married -- Della M. for 8 years. Della is listed as 31, born 3/1869 in IA?, parents born VT-NY. Fred is listed as 37, born 2/1863 in MI, parents born OH-NY. Their son, Phillip Stair, is listed as 4, born 9/1895 in Canada, parents MI-IA. Finally there is Fred's brother, Frank E. Stair, listed as 34, born 1/1866 in OH, parents OH-NY.

I could not find this family in the 1910 census, but may have found them in Chicago, Cook Co., IL in the 1920 census. Besides Fred W. Stair (age 56, born MI) and his wife Goldie M. Stair (age 33, born Canada), was Fred's "father-in-law" Oliver Cowdy (sp?) (age 55, born Ireland). I am not sure that this is really the same Fred, but it was the only one I found born about the right year and in the right state. I don't know if you have a death date for Fred and/or Della. It is possible that Della died and then Fred remarried, but I don't have any evidence.

This is really beyond where I usually go with siblings' children, but I would be glad to see what else I might be able to find if you don't have any info either.
