Grandriver Township became???after 1870

Can anyone tell me what became of Grandriver Township after 1870. I found my Loyd family there in 1870 census, but when I went to search in 1880, no Grandriver Township could be found. I assume it was either a name change, or broken down into separate townships. I know that my greatgrandparents and grandparents lived on the same homestead and would like to find them in the census. Thanks for your help.
