I am so stuck and need help in finding my ggggrandmother's burial and obiturary .
I can't find her anywhere. It is like they just put her in a hole and that is that.
This is all the information that i have at the moment.
Her name in the 1860 census for twp 66, Gentry Co. , Mo. was Margarette Hughes living with younger son William or Wm Hughes and
In the 1860 census ; William was listed as born in 1831 immigrated in 1847, and naturalized.
In the 1870 census William and family moved to Union, Worth Co. Mo. and no Margarette Hughes listed . She must have died from 1860 to 1870 in either place or surounding communities.
I can't find what cemetery she is buried in.
ON William's death certificate ; her name is Margaret Pierson ( which could be her maiden last name) . The father was H. Hughes .
William or Wm Hughes was born 1831 on the death certificate for him .
We believe that H. Hughes died in Ireland during famine or on the ship to America.
There were 3 other brothers that came to America before Margarette ( the mother and younger son William or Wm Hughes.
We were told that they sent for the mother and younger brother to come to America.
there names were Joseph, John and George. I know that Joseph lived in Iowa the rest of his life and buried there, but I can' t find John or George Hughes .
I was told they too, lived in Iowa , but what part ? I assume that they died there too.
Anyway, need help on this one.
Maxine from Iowa
