My Great great grandfather was Samuel Calvin Marrs, born 1829 in Illinois and died in 1870 in Missouri. Married Mary ? who was born in Tennessee about 1826. They were listed as man and wife in the 1850 census of Gentry Co. Mo and in the 1860 Gentry Co census with a son Joseph. We suspect Samuel was the son of Major James Marrs, originally from Tazewell Co VA and Nancy Carr of Pennsyvania who had 7 children, one of whom was a Samuel. Can anyone give us more positive information about Samuel C.?
