I don't think your Wash HINES is Benjamin's son. Benjamin and Malinda (Hoblit) HINES had 9 children. Martha Jane, Mary Catherine, Henry Clay, William Washington, Amos Wilson, Francis Marion, Sarah A., Charles, and David. The only one whose name possibly matches is William Washington HINES. He was born in Missouri on February 17, 1854. He married Nancy C. Petree on August 22, 1880 in Ray County, Missouri.

There were other HINES in Northwest Missouri at the same time. Two of them are Balsar HINES and Henry HINES. I have not been able to link my Benjamin to them, but think that they might have been brothers.
