Sarah Ellen Gault was born in Fountain County, Indiana, June 5 1875. At the age of two she moved with her parents to Berlin, Missouri, and has since been a resident of this state. When fourteen years of age she gave her heart to God and united with the Mt. Moriah Baptist church at Berlin. She later moved her membership to the Isabelle, her home church where she remained a faithful member until her death.
On September 26, 1894 she was united in marriage to William Newton Harding, and to this union six children were born as follow: Mrs. Elise Mae Harding, James Martin (wrong sp Marion) Harding, Mary Leora Harding, Mrs. Cassie Lucretia Findley, Hattie Delilah Harding and William Harold Dale Harding. She departed this life at 12:30 a.m., Friday, March 19, 1920, at the age of 43 years, 9 months and 14 days. Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning at the Isabelle church and the remains were laid to rest in the Isabelle cemetery. Besides her husband and six children she is survived by a father,
three brothers and four sisters: William Gault father, John, James, and Floyd, brothers, King City, MO: Mrs. Abe Butler, Stewartville, MO: Mrs Chas. Eierdanz, King City, MO: Mrs. Wm. Bunnell, Santa Rosa
Mo.: and Miss Hattie Gault, King City, MO. All except one sister was present at her funeral.
