Dunklin County Child Apprenticeships/Foster Homes

Can anyone tell me how child apprenticeships/foster homes (i.e., children being "bound out") were arranged and where I might find these types of records for circa 1900-1910 in Dunklin County? Any insights are deeply appreciated.
