Miles Smith, (born abt 1826 in KY) married Sary Ann aka Sarah Roland, (born abt 1830 in MO) in Miller Co 23 Feb 1845. I can't find them in 1850 and they were in Camden in 1860. I have searched the Internet for anything on this family. Miles Smith died about 1868 to early 1870, most likely in Taney Co, MO, but no death notification or location found on the Internet. By 1870 census, his wife Sarah Ann ROLAND Smith had remarried to a teamster, Frank Owens and lived in Douglas Co, MO living with them was her Smith children, married daughter and granddaughter, and possibly a sister or niece of Sarah's, Lucinda Rollans.

After the 1860 census they moved to Taney Co, MO. Some info is located in an article written by Silas Turnbo Manuscripts describing the plight of Miles & Sarah's son Henry Smith and they lived in Taney during this time about 1868. Miles died after Henry and another child died after Miles between 1868 & 1870 census before Sarah married Frank Owens. She could have married Frank in Taney County and moved to Douglas Co, afterward.

I would appreciate any more info on this family. Thank you for reading. My best regards to you.
