I don't believe that I mentioned the fact that my Jacob M. Holloway was born in Tn. around 1800-1810? At any rate, I have a suspicion that his father was John Minter Holloway--some of his descendants, born in Tennessee, first moved to Pope County, Illinois, then to Missouri (Greene Co. rings a bell). I certainly would be interested in knowing the names of those Holloways who moved to Douglas Co (sounds like the same area that Jacob migrated to from Indiana). The pre-Civil War vendettas, and the actual beginning of the War caused many people from Douglas Co. to move--mine, apparently, moved to Jefferson Co., Ill.--later (1870 or so) most moved to Newton Co., Mo., and later some went to near-by McDonald County, Mo. I Suspect that we may be somehow connected. Let me know what you think. Jim H.
