I have just this day posted the following data at the Hailey and the Haley family forums before spying your posts here. Perhaps you can answer some of my questions. I note that your spelling of "Lewis" differs from mine.
------------------------------------------------------------

Seeking information on the following descendent lines and the ancestors of the wife of Louis Oliver Hailey, Belle Zora (Harper) Hailey.

1-William R. Harper, b. 1844, Pope Co., IL
+Sarah Elizabeth Jacobs, b. 1844, Jefferson Co., TN
2-i-Millie Adeline Harper, b. 1866, Pope Co., IL
2-ii-Belle Zora Harper, b. 1867, Pope Co., IL
+Louis Oliver Hailey, b. 1864, KY
3-i-Lawrence Hailey
+Edna Mason
3-ii-Marie Hailey
+David Goble
3-iii-Florence Hailey
+Horace Sherman
4-i-Glenda Sherman
+Richard Smith
5-i-Richard L. Smith
3-iv-Effie Hailey, b. Abt 1885, MO
3-v-Bertha Hailey, b. Abt 1888, MO
+Walter Beason
3-vi-Bessie Hailey, b. Abt 1890, MO
+L. S. Davis
3-vii-Elsie Hailey, b. Abt 1894, MO
+Brice Swisher
3-viii-Esther Hailey, b. Abt 1896, MO
+Leslie Lawson
3-ix-Blanche Hailey, b. Abt 1898
+Ralph Brazeal

Louis Oliver Hailey may have lived in or near Ava, Douglas Co., MO as his sister-in-law, Millie Adeline Harper, married Abner Connor Abel and relocated to Ava MO area also.

I am seeking answers to the following questions specificly:

1-Did Belle Zora (Harper) Hailey and Millie Adeline (Harper) Abel have any other siblings???

2-Was the Harper family also living in or near the Ava Missouri area, and if not in that location, where in Missouri or elsewhere were the Harpers living???

3-I am especially interested in Richard L. Smith (5-i above) who may be living today and who may have this families history
