Hi Karen,

I'm sorry to say I haven't heard of Marthia Anna Freeman. It doesn't mean she's not related somehow. There seems to be a lot of information in Douglas co. on the Freeman family. From what I could tell there were two lines of Freeman's that ended up in the 1860 Douglas Co. census. One line is the Aaron Posey Freeman line and the other is a line from a state other than North Carolina -- I can't remember off the top of my head. Have you been to the usgenweb Douglas Co. site? There is quite a bit of information to be found there and there are some people who do volunteer lookups. Nancie Todd Weber was a big help to me with census info. She seems to be gathering information on the families of Douglas Co. and Ozark Co so she had other information as well.
