I'm actually looking for Mary Freeman born October 1850 in Douglas Co. Missouri. She married Charles Jackson Johnston sometime after 1870, and from what I understand the two lived for some time in Douglas Co. Missouri. I know I have found a reference to Charles' son by a previous marriage, Silas Samuel Johnston, in marriage notices for the Herald in the 1880's, so I know that they were in Douglas Co. at some point.
I think Mary Freeman is the daughter of H.P. and Eliza Freeman who are listed in the 1860 Douglas Co. Census. I am also trying to find out any information on H.P. and Eliza. It is believed H.P. is the son of Aaron Posey Freeman and Allabeth Ball, but I have not yet found information to proove this. I also believe H.P. stands for Humphrey P. Freeman, but I am not sure. Humphrey P. Freeman did take out a land patent for Douglas Co. Missouri in 1860.
H.P. and Eliza had at least 6 children:
Nancy Freeman b. 1846 KY
Kelsow Freeman b. 1848 KY
Mary Freeman b. 1850 MO
Posey Freeman b. 1853 MO
Samuel Freeman b. 1855 MO
Sarah Freeman b. 1858 MO
Any information that prooves or disprooves my theories would be great.
