I just scanned down a little further and found this message regarding Samuel Pigg. He was my great grandfather and yes he was a Methodist preacher and a farmer. Yes the church is still standing and is kept in excellent condition by donations. We go there every year to a Pigg family reunion and we have a gathering in the church and sing and visit and have prayer. This is at Blanche Cemetery, Douglas County, MO. The town of Blanche has ceased to exist for a number of years. You are mistaken about Samuel and Sally being buried in the cemetery. Samuel and Sallie were divorced and she is buried elsewhere. Samuel and Sarah are buried in the far southwest corner of the cemetery. If you would like to contact me direct, I will be glad to send you a picture of Samuel and Sarah, also a picture of their tombstones in the cemetery. Samuel served 100 days as a volunteer in the Civil War. He was born in Camp Point, Adams County, IL. Sincerely, June A. Bates jabates73@Aol.com
