My mother and her father kept newspaper clippings. I am posting them in hopes of helping others. The community south of Buffalo between Roxdale and March was shocked Monday to learn of the death by his own hand of Raymond Hardison about 5:30 that afternoon. No cause has been given for his act. He was a popular young man of that community. The body was discovered by his father, Walter Hardison, about an hour after it is supposed he fired the shot which went through his heart. It was in a parked car along the road not far from his home. Prosecuting Attorney Nelson B. Evans and Coroner C.O. Gammon decided no inquest was necessary. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 6, 11:00 a.m. at Center Point Church by Rev. Joe Pinkley, with a large number of friends and relatives present. Interment was at Center Point under direction of L.B. Jones. Raymond Thelbert Hardison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hardison, was 23 years and 7 months of age. He was a dutiful son of kind and loving disposition. Besides his parents, he leaves to mourn his death, one brother, Clifford; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Killion, four aunts, Mrs. Charley Breshears, Plattsburg, Mo., Mrs. Hosea Nimmo, Coldwater, Kansas, Mrs. Allen Bingman, Phillips, Nebr., Mrs. Orval Crip, St. Joseph, Mo., and a host of relatives and friends. He was loved by all who knew him. Notify Administrator about this message?
