Tammy,

I've checked all federal censuses, and the marriage index at Ancestry.com and at Genealogy.com. A dear friend of mine recently went to Dade County and checked the Tuckers in "History Of Dade County And Her People" By The Pioneer Historical Company 1917; Dade County Missouri Cemetery Records- Scott Cemetery; Dade County Birth And Death 1883-1885, Compiled By June Mayfield; Dade County Missouri Marriage Records, Book A and B By Howard W. Woodruff; and "History Of Missouri Baptists", by R.S. Douglass. My friend was also able to obtain for me "Ardella Lack's Notes", some miscellaneous Tucker obituaries, and some Tucker family group records, all which are represented in my online tree.

There are two separate Tucker families that lived in Dade County at the same time. The other Tuckers are descendants of James J. Tucker (of Richmond County, Virginia) and wife Elizabeth Catherine MCCLURE. What makes the Tucker research even more difficult is that James J. and Elizabeth Tucker's daughter, Mary E. Tucker, married Thomas Marion DICUS. Thomas was the son of John Dicus and Mary Jane Tucker (my line of Tuckers). This Tucker family is also represented in my online tree.

I wanted to mention that I read some of the post that you have made to the message boards, and I do have a connection to the EDGE family. My grandma's brother, James Brown, married Jewell Edge. She was the daughter of William Thomas Edge, granddaughter of Elisha Edge and great granddaughter of Henry D. Edge and Hannah STOCKSTILL. I also saw your message on Burkett Jones and Frances D. Edge, and I have contacted a friend of mine in McMinn Co. TN. He is going to try to find their marriage record for you.

My tree also consists of many from the JONES family of Dade County, and I've saw that you've done a lot of work on them. Please feel free to go through my tree and add any info. you'd like on them, or anyone else for that matter. The Jones's were very confusing to research, and although I've done the best I could, I know there are some mistakes.

I actually own quite a large library (I have access to nearly 2,000 books). Please let me know if I can help with anyone in your family.

Thanks again,
Jeannie
