Merrie, I cannot express to you how happy I was to get your message. I thought for sure that this was going to be another one of those dead ends. We did not know the dates of her birth and death because her headstone was so faded. We did know that she died sometime between 1900 and 1905, because of the 1900 census which had her on it, and my great great grandfather's 2nd marriage date which was in 1905. I do know her children. Her son is my great grandfather, James Harrison Nicholson. I will talk with my great aunt to find out who the other children were for Evaline and Samuel. Evaline's husband Samuel National Nicholson, who remarried Irene Martin after Evaline died. Samuel and Irene also had a few children together. Samuel's father was William Kitchen Nicholson from Indiana. I don't know if he had a brother named James Henry. There seemed to be quite a few Samuel Nicholsons in the same area of Missouri at the same time. My cousin traveled to Barnicle Chapel a few years ago and took some pictures of headstones that could have belonged to other family members. If you find out anything else, we would greatly appreciate any information you could give. Thank you so much. Sandy Notify Administrator about this message?
