PHILLIPS of Pilot Grove

In about 1860, my g-g-grandparents, Zadock and Phebe (Brown) Phillips, and their children, William B., Catherine M., and Ann R., settled in Pilot Grove, Cooper Co MO, having previously lived in Morgan Co OH. William entered the Civil War in 1862 as a Pvt in Capt. Mullers Co A, 5th Regt MO State Militia Cavalry. In 1863, he was appointed a Hospital Steward and, as far as I know at this time, remained in this position until he mustered out in 1865. This unit was assigned to the Rolla MO area for the duration of the war. In 1864 William married Elizabeth Missouri Hamilton, b. 11 October 1842, Pulaski Co MO, which is near Rolla. After the war, William apparently started practicing medicine in Cooper Co MO where he and Elizabeth also started their family. There is a note about the "old Dr. Phillips farm" posted on the Cooper Co USGenWeb site. Also, Zadock, Phebe, and William were charter members of the Wesley Methodist Church of Pilot Grove in 1866. Best I can tell, all the family, except maybe Ann R., moved from there about 1870, the Dr. having a child in Greene Co MO that year, and then moving to Douglas Co MO a short time later. Zadock and Phebe remained in Douglas Co MO the rest of their lives, except for about three years between 1876 and 1880 when they lived in Izard Co AR. Dr. Phillips and family moved to Izard Co AR in 1876, then to Fulton Co AR in 1882 where Elizabeth died in 1916 and is buried there. The Dr. died in 1892, probably in Fulton Co AR, but I have yet to find where he is buried for sure, but I believe he is in Bakersfield, Ozark Co MO.

My quest is to find out what happened to Ann R., determine relations of Elizabeth M. Hamilton, and to get any other info regarding this family. I would appreciate any tidbits of info that anyone has or comes up with. I have Wm. B. Phillips' CW data from MO and have requested his pension files from the Nat'l Archives. Will share any info that I have. Thanks.
