This Kunegunde turned out to be an Engelbrecht, not a Vogel. I located where she came from and went to Germany in June of last year and visited the house and church in the village where she was born. The Vogels were her and her sister's in-laws so I do have some data on them.

The way I located her is that I pulled all the Civil War pension files for any Vogel and Engelbrecht in Missouri and many said that they were born in Oberfranken in Bayern [Upper Franconia, Bavaria]. I located a researcher in that area of Germany and he found their exit permits at the regional archives [as I too had found their ship's record]. He has continued to research this family and has a few of the lines back into the 1400's; most of the back to ca. 1590-1610.

I published an article in the Missouri State Genealogical Quarterly last year about this family.

If you would like the contact information for this researcher let me know and I will send it to you.
