Photo of large gathering in Converse, Clinton County, Missouri, 1910

I have a large photograph dated 1910 that I'm seeking more information about. Handwritten at the top is:

"First township meeting and Farmer's Institute ever held in Clinton Co. Held in Converse Nov. 1, 1910. Dr. Jordan of the University addressed the audience in the afternoon."

There must be 150-200 men, women and children in the photo, most dressed in their Sunday Best! They are in front of a wood frame white building, with only a window visible on the building, no other distinctive features.

Does anyone know anything about this "Institute?"
