I found the connection to the author and read one of the books. It gave me a glimpse of the turmoil in MO at that time. I am interested in the family next to John Bell. I believe James Powers wife was Susan Bell and they married 1837 in IL. I have their marriage cert. I am interested in where they went after 1850, what happened to the son John, are they the same couple in the Flintlock Church near Weston c1848, did they own land in Clay Co.?
