The spelling you had for Scaggs? I don't see. "Skaggs" I do see you sure on your spelling? In my book "Chadwick Then and Now" page 173 has Henry Isaac Stevens married to Elizabeth "Skaggs" from Boaz. They had 5 children Henry is buried in the Garrison Cemetery, Christian County along with my family as if this your "Skaggs" folk we are related. Mary Workman Stevens married Burrell Stevens.
I bought the book "History& Families for $250 bucks a bit steep but I think its the going price ;-)) On Page 166 we see "Skaggs" no "Scaggs" Page 172 "Stevens" No Harrington in this book which was published in 2000. No Harrington in the book "Chadwick Then and Now" All my family are through each book as my Workman's been in the area since the 1840's Richard Workman my GGGGrandfather settled in Taney County and owned the land that Branson sits on. So us Workmans are through out the area.
My last name "Sanders" is not the Sanders from the area. My 2 cousin she is married to a "Sanders" from Christian County MO. MY "Sanders" hubby his folks are from Walhala South Carolina. Anyway if you need more info send me an e-mail!!
Scherrie Workman Sanders
