Hi Betty,

Many thanks for the response. I have little more to add, but I did recently find a possible surname for Eliza. My grandmother has a family bible that lists her as Ann Elizabeth DECREECH born in TN. I still don't know which county, but if we find either of the pair we may find both. Please lets keep in touch.

From the Greene County DEMOCRAT Springfield MO newspaper on Saturday Morning July 22, 1893 "Mrs. Eliza Johnson, a very estimable lady and mother of Mrs. T. J. Kershner, died a few days ago at her home near Pearson creek, age 71 years. She was buried in the Kershner graveyard." Mrs. T.J. Kershner was Darthulia Jane (Johnson) Kershner; dau of Joseph and Eliza b 1848.

Thanks again, and I'll let you know if I run across anything.
