Hi Lane,
We have had contact about this, but just in case another White family researcher comes along, they can see that there is further info. Message boards have been my best source so far, I have met many family connections.
James Willis White and Mary Ann "Polly" Cunningham are the parents of Thomas Lewis. That name "Lewis" was passed on to many of the Cunninghams. Polly is the daughter of William Lewis Cunningham b. 1817.
Notice in the census that James continues to be married to "Mary". Actually, Aunt Mary Ann "Polly" passed away and James married Mary Melton.
