WILLIAM H. WALLIS/WALLACE, b: 1825, Tennessee
Posted by: Deanie Bybee (ID *****9416) Date: June 27, 2010 at 15:36:43
  of 959

On 01 March 1860 William H. Wallis (also spelled Wallace in other places) purchased 40 acres of land in Christian County. In July he is listed on the census with wife Mary, children: James b: 1845; Jno W. b: 1849; Mary H. b: 1854 and Penory(?) b: 1857. All members of this family were born in Tennessee. On 1850 census they lived in Claiborne Co., Tennessee. Believe the Jno. W. is John Wesley Wallace who was married in Texas County in September 1870. Cannot find other members of this family after the 1860 census. Would like to correspond with anyone related to this family. Where did they go after July 1860?
