Re: Billing Cemetery

There is no cemetery in Christian County called Billings Cemetery. Three large cemeteries in Billings are Rose Hill with over 1,200 known burials, the German or St. Peter's Cemetery with over 600 burials and the Catholic or St. Joseph's Cemetery with over 300 known burials. Since Billings is near the Greene County line, possibly someone might have called one of the nearby Greene County cemeteries Billings. As far as I know that name was not used for any of the cemeteries actually in Christian County, but single instances do sometimes appear for different names for well-known large cemeteries, so it could be that one of the three cemeteries in Billings is meant. Many, many people are buried without records, but as for known burials, only these two in Richwood Cemetery between Ozark and Nixa have been found for this surname:

D. H.       BUTERBAUGH       27 May 1872 - 8 Jul 1905       Richwood

INF       BUTERBAUGH       8 Jul 1901 - 8 Jul 1901       Richwood
