I am also looking for some Friend information in that area. My grandfather was William Henry "Will" Friend, born 9/25/1882, in Missouri. He married Margaret Elizabeth Nodine in Harrison, Arkansas 3/29/1903. They are both dead and buried at Powersite,MO. We are trying to find a link to his family, as noone seems to know who his parents or siblings were. Rumors have it that his father(name unknown) went to the barn to feed the stock and disappeared. He was believed to have been taken by the "Baldknobbers". There is a Friend Family Reunion held in Gainesville,MO on Labor day (Saturday)weekend at the City park every year. I have not yet been able to get there, but hope to this year.
