William Alexander Hale was born 1856 to Alexander and Louisa Hale near Sparta, Christian County, Missouri. He attended Drury University. William is in a photograph of a group of teachers in 1890 in Wayne Glenn's Book, "Down the Road from Nixa". William Alexander Hale served as a teacher in Christian County. He also served as a collector, assesor, and clerk for Christian Co. He also served as grocery store owner in Marionville and Springfield MO. William had a son also named William Alexander Hale. A son of the second William Alexander Hale may have been William Bernal Hale, who lived in Springfield MO. If you know anything about this man and his family, please contact me, Thanks for your help. brian in springfield mo
