I am looking for descendants and/or ancestors of James M. Harper (b. 1832 KY) and Alzina or Alzana Prine (b. 1844 MO). Among them is a lady named Roseanne Yowell Mueller. Roseanne posted messages on the net in 1998 and 1999, but her e-mail is no longer valid. I think Alzina or Alzana Prine was the daughter of Daniel and Catherine Bryant Prine.

I think James Harper had 4 wives. #1 is unknown, but was the mother of James born 1849 in IL and John born 1855 IL. (found on the 1860 census, Centralia P. O. Marion, IL. with wife Margaret age 21 b. KY.) It is possible these are his first two marriages:
Illinois Marriage Index;

I next found James M. Harper in 1870 in Austin, Cass, MO with wife Elizabeth age 27, born MO. and children John age 14, Julia Ann, and Louisa A, all three born in IL. Margaret Lee was probably the mother of Julia age 7 and Louisa age 5.

Julia Ann Harper married Thomas Black in Austin, Cass, MO 11/18/1877 and died bef 1890, her only child having died in infancy.

In 1880, James M. Harper was still in Austin, Cass, MO with wife named as "Elzanna", age 26, born MO, Louisa A. dau. age 15 b. IL, George M. son, age 6 b. MO, Frances dau. age 4 b. MO, and a step-daughter named Amanda Bird, age 15 b. MO. Alzina was the mother of his last 3 children.

I don't know what happened to the younger James, John or Louisa A.

Amanda Bird married George E. Barnett 13 Jun 1880 in Cass, MO, and died in Lincoln, Lancaster, NE in 1929. Her obituary named her sibling as George, Frances (Fannie) and Albert Harper.

George M. Harper married Sarah Jane Cady on 25 Jul 1895 in Woodbury County, IA. They had children:
Cora Harper (Jul 1896-bef Apr 1910)
Ruth Harper (13 Jan 1898-)
John Harper (May 1899-bef Apr 1910)
Robert Harper (1902-)
Rena Harper (25 Sep 1903-Jul 1982)
Hattie Mae Harper (16 Jul 1904-Dec 1976)
Nellie S. Harper (23 May 1906-Nov 1983)
Amanda Frances Harper (12 Jul 1907-5 Sep 1996)
Albert Harper (1908-bef 5 Feb 1920)
Edward Harper (23 Jun 1910-29 Apr 1989)
Ina Harper (2 Jun 1912-Aug 1983)
George M. Harper was married to Maud? sometime after 1930 and had:
Tommy Harper (abt 1934-)
Caroline Harper (-)
George and Sarah Harper both died in Sioux City, Woodbury, IA.

On the 1900 census, I found Fannie Harper in Lakeport, Woodbury, IA married to Forrest Richard Inman. Albert F. Harper, age 16 b. MO, was living with her. I also found Forrest and Fannie Inman on the 1910 census in Norfolk, Sully, SD. They had two daughters, Cecil P. and Marie L.

I lose Albert F. Harper after 1900, unless he was the Albert F. on the 1920 census in Ingraham, Mills, IA, with a wife named Clara S. and 3 children, Arnold , Emma, and Art.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
