Hi, Recently I discovered after rereading my family history again for more clues, I came across this information. Nahum Amos King operated a ferry across the Missouri River in Carroll County, about 1840-1844, until a flood wiped his farm and ferry service out. He left in 1845 to go on the Oregon Trail. Anybody with info, know of a ferry service in the area back then?
