Tom, I found an August Fallenbach listed in the 1900 census, as a lodger, Galena City, Cherokee County, Kansas, he was listed as being born Mar. 1853, Germany, age 47, single, white, male, could be your August, so much of the time in census records, names are spelled just like they sound. I am not a part of this family, just doing a bit of genealogical kindness. So many people have helped me and wanted to just help someone else. Good Luck, Betty
