I stopped at the Recorder's Office in Jackson, MO. and looked up the marriage license of August Voges & Augusta Hofmeister. They were married by an ordained minister of the Lutheran Church, the Rev. Ferdinand Doederlein. The license also listed "Henry Voges and Phillip Hofmeister attest witnesses". Interesting!!!! I then walked to the Archives to see where this pastor's church was located. They were married at Immanuel Luther Church - Jackson, Missouri - or in Tilsit, Missouri.
I will locate their death obits and mail them to you at no charge if you send me your address at my home kastenre@sbcglobal.net
