I have James Burns being born in the range of 1795-1800. He was married To Elizabeth Abernathy. James died in 1846 in Perry County. Elizabeth died in 1847. The Andrew I think you are finding in the later census, was a grandson of Andrew and Jane Burns through his son John. What I understand about the murder of Jane Burns is a Shawnee indian killed her, and a white man named Boyce might have been behind it. Something over land claims. The shawnee indian was found and killed. I think they hung his head up and left it out so everyone could see. My e-mail address is kbrenn@bellsouth.net if you want to compare notes further.
