Kelly, Do you have any idea how on date of birth for James. There is a census entry in 1840 for a James Burnes age 20-30 a wife also age 20 -30 and two males under age 5. I don't find him on any other censuses. Then in 1860 -1880 there is a easily traced family of Andrew Burns. I'll keep looking, Iam intrigued what happened with murder case.
