In a book titled CAPE CO NEWSPAPER EXCERPTS there was an entry from a paper called the MISSOURI HERALD on Aug.19,1820
it read: Mrs. Jane Burns wife of Andrew Burns murdered on Wed. last at his residence about 1 and 1/2 miles from this place by a Shawnee Indian called Little George murderer not yet taken.
There were no more entries about it, from what I gathered the paper stopped publication shortly after this. I ran out of time but will look to see what else I can find on the Burns family the next time I go to the library.
