Harry L. Farmer was born 1919 in KS. In 1940 he enlisted in the army at Ft. Riley KS stating he was a resident of Cowley Co., KS. Harry was a POW in the Philippines and was transferred 11 Oct 1944 to the ship Arisan Maru which was torpedoed 24 Oct 1944 with the loss of about 1800 POWs. A friend was in the Philippines a few years ago and bought a dog tag on Corrigodor with the name of Harry L. Farmer. He would like to return the dog tag to a family member. I have found a Harold Farmer b. 1919 KS in the Elza (Elzie) A. and Vera Hazel (Brittain) Farmer family 1930 census. Two brothers, James L. and Billie J. I found Elzie A. Farmer born Apr 1884 in the Joseph M. and Anna (Alexander) family in 1900 Camden Co., MO
