I am looking for the family of Rhoda Ann McKinney who married Matthew Hamilton. Matthew Hamilton was the son of James & Sarah (MNU) Hamilton, and the Hamilton family moved from Mercer, Kentucky to Callaway, Missouri, about 1851-52.

I am tracing the McKinney family with some hopes to tie into Hamilton as Matthew's older sister, Isabella, was my g-g-grandmother. Her daughters, Emma Stopher, and Isabella Sarah Stopher, were born in Callaway between 1857-1859. However, they are not in the 1860 census as their family moved around a fair amount. Isabella married Richard (Thurston, Thomas)* Stopher in Mercer, Kentucky on 2 Septemer 1852. Their oldest child, Ophelia Stopher, was born in Mercer.

It was an obituary for Emma Stopher that gave her birthplace as Fulton, Callaway, Missouri, and then I traced the James Hamilton family from Mercer to Fulton, Callway, Missouri in the 1860 US census, where they all lived at Fulton (District 18), Callaway, Missouri.

Thanks for any leads - - any clues are much appreciated!

* My g-g-grandfather liked to used different names in different places, so he has been an interesting one to trace!
