George Hall b. abt 1830--son of William and Mary McDonald Hall

I am searching for information on George Hall b. about 1830, the son of William Hall and Mary McDonald. George's older brother, John, was made his guardian in 1840 and he was then listed as George W. T. I found a George Hall in Callaway County in 1850 with his age listed as 22. Is this him? I can't find him later unless he is in Boone County in 1860 with a spouse named America. Would anyone know what happened to this George?
