I am seeking information about my birth grandfather, Orville Theodore Burr. He was the father of Richard Orville Burr ( Ellings) born June 6, 1926, in Portland, OR. My father died March 6, 1976 at the age of 49. His mother was Thelma Norma DeWeese. Supposedly, they married and divorced when Richard was an infant. I never met my grandfather and was told only that he lived in Portland, died in 1966, and was buried at Willamette National Cemetery. I have requested the death certificate for Ted Burr hoping it will give me some information as to his parents and important dates. I am researching purely for information to fill out the family tree and pass on to my children. If you have further information, please contact me via e-mail. I live in Eagle Point, OR, but spent most of my life in North Bend where I taught for 32 years, retiring 7 years ago to the Rogue Valley.
