Catherine Mumpower (name at birth Rebecca) married my Grandfather James Henry Crites. Their marriage license reads his fathers name as both groom and father JOHN HENRY CRITES.(Wierd). Could be buried in the Kingston Cemetery under either name. If there are any Mumpowers left from the family of David Mumpower and his wife Julia Murray Mumpower of Polo, Missouri, feel free to answer this. I am writing the genealogy of my family and Rebecca (Catherine) Mumpower was my Grandmother by marriage. She was a 54 year old Spinster when she married my Grandfather. I have written to the City of Polo, City of Kingston, County of Caldwell, Caldwell County Cemetery Association, MO-SOS, and a phone call to the office of the Governor of Missouri whose office very kindly referred me back to all of the above. That was all during the last five years. To paraphrase Mae West, sometime when ya not nothin' ta do, whyn't cha sit down an' call me.
